He was focused throughout the entire 2 rounds, he enjoyed both courses, and he managed his game very well. His ability to hit his drives in the fairway, avoid any short-side misses, avoid all bunkers (except for 1 through all 36 holes), and consistent iron play leading to numerous birdie putts were all characteristics of the 66-69 performance at the Qualifier. If you are a David Duval fan then there is much reason to be excited about his golf game. He is working well with Puggy Blackmon, and the results are showing in his solid tee shots and iron shots. That shot-making coupled with a noticeable renewed focus is really great to watch, and should produce results throughout the remainder of 2009. |
